Power Ties the Movie
May 2008 - Ever have one of those days at the office? Feel like you might go postal after getting put through the ringer? Mark Hatjakes has had his share and brings a fresh, fun and fantastical rendering of just such an experience in his short film, Power Tie.
Power Tie is the directorial debut for Hatjakes, who has been a graphic artist for 10 years. Having had a lifelong interest in film and following a major dotcom crash, he decided to go to film school. Finding himself both motivated by and frustrated at seeing others producing ideas that he’d also had, coupled with his experience of working for an overbearing supervisor, think ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ gave Hatjakes just the motivation he needed. The end result is Power Tie, the movie. Power Tie is a seven minute short about a neck tie with a mission to succeed at any cost. Imagine if you will, “Office Space” meets “American Psycho.”
The partnership between Wild Attire, Inc. and Power Tie came when Hatjakes searched online for tie companies to make and donate ties for his student film. After many searches, he found that he was always lead back to the Wild Attire brand sites, one of which was WildTies.com. “When Mark contacted me about his film, I immediately appreciated his sense of humor and the story he told,” said Morgan Dunn, founder and CEO of Wild Attire, Inc. “We are a spirited collaborative company and it seemed like a perfect fit.”
The star of show, ‘Power Tie’ will also be available for sales and will be prominently featured exclusively at www.WildTies.com. In addition, there are seven additional ‘Power Tie’ branded neckties that will also be available, also exclusively through Wild Attire’s retail website, www.WildTies.com.
